Overview of Part 101 Rules (April 2017):

(This is a brief overview of the rules, make sure to follow all rules and read the full rule book before flying. Fly safe and have fun.)

  • Do Not fly higher than 400 Feet (120 Meters)
  • Flying can only be undertaken line-of-sight. (No flying via monitor or goggles without a spotter present)
  • No flying within 4KM of an airport – or within ATC controlled airspace without permission from the affected airfield or airspace controller
  • No flying over property or people unless permission has been granted by land owner or occupier
  • No flying at night
  • Flights are recommended to be lodged with Airshare.co.nz
